The Composite Score
A score from 0 to 100 representing the aggregate “confidence” of a drug candidate. It uses a momentum-preserving model: events deliver an immediate impulse that decays naturally over a category-specific half-life.
Sentiment Scoring
Measures directional impact (-1.0 to +1.0). An FDA approval might be +0.95, while a minor enrollment delay is -0.1. It answers: “How does this event affect the probability of commercial success?”
Confidence Weighting
Acts as a multiplier (0.0 to 1.0) based on data reliability. Official FDA records score near 1.0, while unverified rumors score low, allowing speculative events to be tracked without distorting the chart.
